Cardio Exercise: Many Different Forms

Cardio exercise is extremely beneficial to your health. Thankfully, there are many forms to choose from, so everyone has a chance to include exercise into their daily routine. The key to maintaining regular exercise is to choose one that is enjoyable; therefore, you receive the health benefits and still have fun.

Reasons to exercise;

  • it strengthens our cardiovascular system
  • increases metabolism
  • helps with weight loss
  • strengthens lung capacity
  • helps maintain a healthy body weight
  • increases energy levels
  • promotes healthy sleep patterns

This is just a few, there are many other benefits. After viewing this list, you begin to realize that exercise is an essential part to staying healthy and disease free.

Ideally, you should participate in at least 20 minutes of cardio exercise, three times per week to receive the health benefits it offers, and since there are many forms of exercises to choose from, this can easily be achieved. Select a variety of exercises to keep it interesting and to keep your body challenged.

Always consider personal preference and fitness level when selecting exercises, this way you'll have fun while safely exercising your body.

Also, you can easily sneak extra “short bursts” of exercise throughout the day, which can be extremely effective, you can; take the stairs instead of the elevator, park farther away for a longer walk, go for a short “power walk” at lunchtime, walk to a fellow employees office instead of calling or simply join the children playing outdoors.


Making time for regular cardio exercise is easy when you're always trying to incorporate it into your daily life. You'll look forward to exercise, for it will make you feel good, your bodies will start changing for the better and you will receive the great health benefits it offers.
